A Michigan native, Gar moved to Venice in 1987 to join Moody Agency. Gar is now President of the agency.
Gar knows the Florida insurance business inside-out. Besides running the agency and helping his clients, Gar is involved with many insurance organizations and councils. Gar was awarded the 2010/2011 Florida Agent of the Year by Travelers Insurance.
Gar is active with the Rotary, including twice serving as President, Chamber of Commerce, and First Baptist Church. A new grandfather, Gar enjoys reading, the YMCA, traveling with his wife Nancy, and collecting wine.
